This week’s guest, Jeff Pierce started deck-handing on charter fishing boats at the age of 10 or 11 and has been in the fishing tackle business ever since, some 35+ years. Fly-fishing is his first love, but he does it all, be it jigging walleyes, live-baiting black marlin or catching an 1100 lb Bluefin on stand-up. He has won multiple awards including the Federation of Fly Fishers Silver King award in 2004 for his longstanding promotion of saltwater fly fishing. He has the fishing bug as bad as anyone on this planet. He has traveled the globe the past 18+ years selling fishing tackle and developing products. Those travels have taken him to some incredible fishing spots over the years. He’s caught fish on the fly on every continent but Antarctica. For the past 4 years, he’s worked at Scientific Anglers, handling all product sales outside the United States as well as manage the private label program.
